Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts – luxury glamping on the Llŷn Peninsula Tucked away at the end of a quiet country lane on the Llŷn Peninsula, Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts is an award-winning, adults-only glamping retreat created for people who want to switch off, slow down and spend a few days somewhere special. Five individually designed, self-contained shepherd huts sit within three acres of meadow and woodland, overlooking a private wildlife lake towards Yr Eifl. Each hut has its own private outdoor space and views across the lake and surrounding countryside, giving guests their own place to relax while retaining the intimate feel of our small, five-hut retreat. Inside, you'll find everything you need for a cosy stay: a comfortable double bed, en-suite shower room, fully equipped kitchen and wood-burning stove, alongside carefully considered interiors, vintage details and plenty of character. Outside, each hut has its own space for sitting, eating and enjoying a fire beneath the stars. Wake to birdsong, drink your morning coffee outside, watch the wildlife around the lake or simply sit and take in the view. There is intentionally no Wi-Fi so you can switch off completely, although 4G coverage is generally good, so you can disconnect as much - or as little - as you choose. When you feel like exploring, some of the best of the Llŷn Peninsula is within easy reach. Spend the day walking the Wales Coast Path, discovering quiet coves and sandy beaches, exploring pretty coastal villages such as Aberdaron and Cricieth, or heading into the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). Then come back to your hut at the end of the day, light the wood burner or firepit and settle in for a peaceful evening. Three of our huts - Joan, Susanna and Angharad - welcome one small or medium-sized dog, so four-legged companions can come along for the adventure too. Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts is ideal for couples and solo travellers looking for peace, privacy and a little breathing space. With only five huts and an adults-only setting, there is a wonderfully calm atmosphere even when every hut is occupied. Each hut has its own personality, from ocean-inspired Susanna to Angharad's interiors inspired by the landscapes of North Wales, so choosing which one to stay in is part of the experience.
