Llangorse Lake is one of Wales' premier pike fishing waters, with perch, roach, tench, bream and eels also waiting beneath the surface of South Wales' largest natural lake. Hire a fishing boat for the day or bring your own craft and launch it from the lakeside, all set against the mountains of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Fishing boats and launching are available for most of the year, from 1 February until mid-December. The lake closes over Christmas and January for staff leave and winter flooding, then reopens at the start of February. Book your boat or launch slot below. Fishing is from boats only and requires a permit. Buoyancy aids are provided with hired boats. Access is subject to weather, safety conditions and lake rules. Kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and pedaloes are covered on our separate Llangorse Lake Boat Hire page.
